Behn Basketball Camp is back at the Governor's Academy in Byfield. This camp is a great chance to improve your game, learn new skills, and have fun playing the game we love. It is always one of our best weeks of the summer.

The largest and most successful basketball camp in New England, Behn Basketball has grown throughout Eastern Massachusetts for the past 31 years with a reputation of excellent teaching focused on fundamentals. Our experienced coaches create an intense yet comfortable atmosphere that encourages learning and development. The goal is for each player to leave camp with improved skills, increased confidence, and acquired knowledge on how to practice and succeed. And of course we have fun too!

Join us for 5 days, July 13th -17th, from 9am-3pm at the Governor's Academy in Byfield. This camp is for boys and girls with competition divided by age and gender. Ages 8-16. $395.

director Paul Morrissey

Paul Morrissey is the head boys’ varsity basketball coach at Reading Memorial High School, where he has led the Rockets to over 300 career victories. He reached the 300-win milestone in January 2024 with a victory over Stoneham. Known for building competitive and disciplined teams, Morrissey has been a cornerstone of the Reading basketball program for over two decades, consistently guiding his teams to postseason success. Morrissey is one of the longest tenured directors at Behn Camp.

Day Check-in: Monday morning 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM. Any outstanding forms are due online before this time.

Day Hours: Full-day camp run from 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.

Dismissal: Camp ends at 3:00 PM Friday afternoon. There is a brief awards ceremony beginning around 2:30.

Governor’s Academy: Governor's Academy is set on a 500-acre campus in a beautiful New England setting. The field house is 48,000 square feet featuring multiple courts and an indoor track.

Meals: Pizza, drinks and snacks will be availble for purchase. Otherwise pack a snack and lunch and brings a water bottle!

My daughter, Sabrina Paolino, attended your camp last week at the Governor's Academy and she can't stop talking about it! She really learned a lot and improved her skills greatly by the end of the week. I had the opportunity to watch a few of the scrimmages and your coaching staff was great.
